IO’S CREATION #811 - THE MISSION OF MANA: CHOOSING OUR FUTURE OF ABUNDANCE

The Power to Choose

In our previous talk, we looked at how humans are meant to be active participants in the world. We have been given a special tool for this called Mana. In the "Woven Universe," Mana is much more than just a title or a reputation. It is the authority given to us by Io to choose which possible future becomes our physical reality.

A World of Possibilities

Think of the world around us as a "weave" of many different outcomes that could happen. At any moment, there are many ways the future could go, some lead to life and others lead to decay. In science, they say that all these possibilities exist as "maybes" until someone steps in to observe them and make a choice.

IO'S CREATION #810 - PEOPLE WHO SHAPE REALITY: THE POWER OF YOUR ATTENTION

The Masterpiece of Creation

In the grand design of the world, humans hold a very special place. We aren't just accidental bystanders in a cold, empty space; we were created with a spirit, a soul, and a body, carefully shaped by the "breath of lives" from the Creator. According to our ancient traditions and the Bible, we were made in the "image" of God, designed specifically to know and talk to the Source within ourselves. This design means we were built to play an active role in a world that actually responds to how we observe it.

Mana: The Power of Your Focus

In modern science, there is a famous idea called the "Observer Effect." It shows that the simple act of watching something or paying attention to it actually changes how that thing behaves—it turns a world of "maybe" into a solid reality.

In our Māori worldview, this special power is known as Mana. Mana is the spiritual authority and the ability to observe given to us by Io to help influence and shape the world. We aren't just watching life happen; we are helping to "observe" it into being through our intentions, our prayers, and how we care for things.

IO’S CREATION #809 – WAIRUA TAPU: THE DIVINE BREATH OF ABUNDANCE

The Living Breath

Kia ora. In this journey through the "Woven Universe," I have explored the structure of the heavens and the roles of those who help manage them. But there is a deeper question: what actually powers this creation? The answer is found in Wairua Tapu, the Holy Spirit. In our Māori traditions and the ancient scriptures, the Spirit is described as the "Living Breath" or Ruach. This is the divine breath that brings life to every atom and keeps the world in balance.

The First Movement

The very first time we see the Spirit in the Bible is at the beginning of everything. In Genesis, it says:

"The earth was without form, and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." (Genesis 1:2, Ethiopian Bible English Version)

This "hovering" is often described like a mother bird looking after her nest. It shows us that from the very start, the Spirit was there to nurture and bring order to the world.

IO'S CREATION #808 - MANY VOICES, ONE TRUTH: THE GLOBAL TOHUNGA

The Global Compass

Kia ora. In the search for truth, it is found that the knowledge of the Creator is not a secret held by only one group of people. Just as the stars are used to navigate the great ocean, different leaders throughout history have acted as "Global Tohunga" (spiritual experts). They have provided a compass for millions of people to find their way back to the same Source, Io-Matua Kore.

One Source, Many Streams

When looking at different systems of belief, a pattern emerges. Where these different paths agree, the "Source Code" of reality is found. Research shows that the original teaching of a single, supreme Being was common to tribes all across the earth. For example, the prophet Mohammed emphasised the absolute oneness of God. This matches the Ngāpuhi understanding of Io-tahi (Io the One). This teaching was designed to help people maintain the mauri (life force) of their societies through discipline and prayer.

IO'S CREATION #807 - THE PROPHETIC SIGNAL: MANY VOICES, ONE SOURCE

Listening For Truth

Kia ora e te whānau. Have you ever noticed how the same message can come to you from completely different places? You might hear a song on the radio, read a line in an old book, or remember a story from your koro, and suddenly it all clicks. We call this the "Prophetic Signal." It’s like the Creator is trying to get us all on the same page, tuning us into the "Alpha Frequency" so we can find our way back to a life of peace and abundance.

Bob Marley’s Message

Think about someone like Bob Marley. He wasn't just a singer; he was a voice for the people. When he sang about "emancipating yourselves from mental slavery," he was telling us that the biggest chains we wear are the ones in our own minds. He was calling us to leave "Babylon", the system of greed and separation, and look toward a better way of living together. He was reminding us that we have the power to change our own story.

IO'S CREATION #805 - THE UNFOLDING STORY: WHY THE UNIVERSE NEVER STOPPED GROWING

A living process

When we talk about the beginning of the world, we often speak as if it was a one-time event that finished a long time ago. We think of the universe like a house that was built, painted, and finished before we arrived. But our ancestors in the North had a much more exciting way of looking at it. To them, the world is more like a woven cloak that is still being made, one thread at a time.

The first movement

The story of Io-matua-kore tells us that in the beginning, everything was still and quiet. Then, Io moved within the vastness of space. This initial movement was the birth of time, space, and life. Our traditions call this the "First Strand," or Te Aho Tuatahi. This implies that the story did not end there. If there is a first strand, it means more strands are meant to follow. Creation was not a finished project; it was the start of an ongoing conversation.

IO'S CREATION #804 - THE WORD AT THE HEART: IHU AS THE STRENGTH OF OUR BONDS

The invisible threads

When we talk about the world being a "Woven Universe," we are really talking about the invisible threads that hold every atom, every tree, and every person together. In the North, we know this as whanaungatanga, the truth that nothing exists on its own. But have you ever wondered what actually keeps those threads from snapping?

Our ancestors and the early writers of the faith had a very clear answer. They spoke of a central "Word" or a "Reason" that started the whole process of creation. This is where we find Ihu (Yeshua's name in the Paipera Tapu) at the very centre of the map. He is not just someone we read about in history; He is the living logic that keeps the stars in the sky and the sap flowing in the trees.

The strength of the connection

In the world of science, they have discovered that once things are connected, they stay connected in a way that ignores distance. They call this entanglement. If you touch one part of the system, another part feels it instantly. Within our framework, we see that Ihu is the one who actually makes this possible.

IO'S CREATION #803 - WHATUKURA AND MĀREIKURA: SPIRITUAL HELPERS WHO MANAGE THE WORLD

The hidden helpers

When we think about the creation of the universe, it is easy to imagine Io working all by himself in the quiet of the night. But our old people in the North taught us that the management of this "Woven Universe" is actually a big team effort. Io brought into being a vast host of spirits to help look after everything he made. These spirits act like the hands and eyes of the Creator in our physical world.

Among these helpers are the Whatukura, who are male spirits, and the Māreikura, who are female spirits. They live in the heavens just below Io and work as his personal assistants. They are not just sitting around in the clouds; they are the high-level managers of the spiritual physics that keep our world running smoothly every day.

The biblical connection

When we look at the teachings of the Bible, we see this same team described in a very similar way. The writers often spoke about different ranks of spiritual beings like principalities, authorities, and powers. These are just different names for the same Whatukura and Māreikura that our ancestors knew about.

IO'S CREATION #802 - THE DIVINE BLUEPRINT: IO’S NAMES AS THE LAWS OF NATURE

The Meaning of Names

In our world today, a name is often just a label we choose because it sounds nice. But for our ancestors here in the North, a name was much more than that. The names given to Io-matua-kore were actually forensic descriptions of how the universe works. They were like a set of instructions or a blueprint for reality itself.

Three Ways of Seeing

To get a clear picture of the truth, we use what I call the triangulation of truth. We look at our Māori names for Io, we look at the names used in the Bible, and we look at the hard data of modern science. When these three different views point to the same thing, we know we have found something solid to stand on.

IO'S CREATION #801 - THE MASTER MAP: IO-MATUA-KORE AND THE FULLNESS OF THE VOID

The Night Sky

When we stand on the shores of Taitokerau and look up at the stars, it is easy to think that the dark space between those lights is just a big, empty nothing. We have been taught that the "void" is a place of lack, but our ancestors had a much deeper understanding. They called that space Te Korekore, the realm of the Great Unknown.

Everything Not Yet Happened

Te Korekore is not a place of nothingness. It is actually a place of everything that has not happened yet. Think of it like a field of soil that is packed with seeds just waiting for the right moment to grow. In the world of science, they call this the quantum vacuum, a space that looks empty but is actually vibrating with infinite energy. It is the womb of the universe.
