IO'S CREATION #801 - THE MASTER MAP: IO-MATUA-KORE AND THE FULLNESS OF THE VOID
The Night Sky
When we stand on the shores of Taitokerau and look up at the stars, it is easy to think that the dark space between those lights is just a big, empty nothing. We have been taught that the "void" is a place of lack, but our ancestors had a much deeper understanding. They called that space Te Korekore, the realm of the Great Unknown.
Everything Not Yet Happened
Te Korekore is not a place of nothingness. It is actually a place of everything that has not happened yet. Think of it like a field of soil that is packed with seeds just waiting for the right moment to grow. In the world of science, they call this the quantum vacuum, a space that looks empty but is actually vibrating with infinite energy. It is the womb of the universe.
The Source of All
At the heart of this energy lives Io-matua-kore, the parentless one. Io is the foundation, the beginning, and the sustainer of every single thing. Within our framework, we can think of Io as the ultimate Master Map of the cosmos. Before a star was formed or a person was born, Io held every possible choice, every path, and every outcome in a state of perfect potential.
The Words of Yeshua
This reality of endless potential was spoken of by Yeshua, who showed us that the limitations we see are often just illusions of the mind.
"But Yeshua looked at them and said to them, 'With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" (Matthew 19:26, NKJV)
"I titiro a Ihu ki a rātou, ka mea ki a rātou, 'Ki te tangata, e kore tēnei e taea, engari ki te Atua, e taea ana ngā mea katoa.'" (Translated from the original Greek: para de Theo panta dynata estin)
The First Movement
Creation did not happen by accident. It began when Io moved within himself. This was the "First Strand" of our history, known as Te Aho Tuatahi. This movement happened through the dance between Io’s quiet, peaceful essence and his active, fiery essence. This interaction sent the first ripples through reality, showing us that the universe started as an intentional act of love and information.
Our Woven Reality
Because everything comes from this one source, we live in what the late Reverend Māori Marsden called a "Woven Universe". In this view, nothing is truly separate. What happens to the land happens to the people because we are all part of the same original map. We are all entangled. When we understand whanaungatanga, or connection, as a law of nature, we realise that our bond with each other and the earth is a physical reality we must protect.
Walking in Hope
Knowing that we come from a source of infinite potential changes how we walk through the world. It means that scarcity and "not having enough" are not the natural state of things. Those feelings are just shadows caused by a bad explanation of how the world works. Our true whakapapa is rooted in the abundance of Io. When we ground ourselves in this truth, we stop feeling like small, isolated individuals and start remembering that we are part of a grand, intentional design that is still unfolding today.
