IO'S CREATION #810 - PEOPLE WHO SHAPE REALITY: THE POWER OF YOUR ATTENTION
The Masterpiece of Creation
In the grand design of the world, humans hold a very special place. We aren't just accidental bystanders in a cold, empty space; we were created with a spirit, a soul, and a body, carefully shaped by the "breath of lives" from the Creator.
According to our ancient traditions and the Bible, we were made in the "image" of God, designed specifically to know and talk to the Source within ourselves. This design means we were built to play an active role in a world that actually responds to how we observe it.
Mana: The Power of Your Focus
In modern science, there is a famous idea called the "Observer Effect." It shows that the simple act of watching something or paying attention to it actually changes how that thing behaves, it turns a world of "maybe" into a solid reality.
In our Māori worldview, this special power is known as Mana. Mana is the spiritual authority and the ability to observe given to us by Io to help influence and shape the world. We aren't just watching life happen; we are helping to "observe" it into being through our intentions, our prayers, and how we care for things.
From Passive Takers to Life-Builders
For a long time, we’ve been told a "bad story" that says we are separate from the world, like isolated parts in a dead machine. This mistake has turned many people into "Passive Takers" who just consume whatever the world throws at them. But we were actually called to be Life-Builders. A builder is someone who can take the world around them and transform it to create more order and more life.
The Old Story: We are separate from the world.
The New Reality: We are deeply connected to everything.
The Old Story: We just consume what is already there.
The New Reality: We build and create more life.
The Old Story: We are small and unimportant.
The New Reality: We have the Mana to shape what we observe.
Our Mission: Managing the House
We don't just exist for ourselves; we are here to look after the "Woven Universe." We have been placed in this "household" to manage its life force and make sure things stay in good order. This is our mission: to work alongside the spiritual helpers and use the wisdom of the Wairua Tapu to fix the problems in our communities. We are the eyes, ears, and hands of Io on the land, making sure our world stays full of abundance.
Reclaiming Our Future in the North
In Taitokerau, reclaiming our role means stopping the habit of only observing what is missing or broken. It means remembering that we are connected to the stars and the soil.
When we stand on our marae and observe our mountains, we aren't just looking at scenery; we are observing our workshop and our sanctuary. We are the architects of a future rooted in our past, empowered to observe abundance and make it real for our children and the generations to come.
