The Power to Choose 

In our previous talk, we looked at how humans are meant to be active participants in the world. We have been given a special tool for this called Mana. In the "Woven Universe," Mana is much more than just a title or a reputation. It is the authority given to us by Io to choose which possible future becomes our physical reality.

A World of Possibilities 

Think of the world around us as a "weave" of many different outcomes that could happen. At any moment, there are many ways the future could go, some lead to life and others lead to decay. In science, they say that all these possibilities exist as "maybes" until someone steps in to observe them and make a choice.

The Masterpiece of Creation

In the grand design of the world, humans hold a very special place. We aren't just accidental bystanders in a cold, empty space; we were created with a spirit, a soul, and a body, carefully shaped by the "breath of lives" from the Creator. According to our ancient traditions and the Bible, we were made in the "image" of God, designed specifically to know and talk to the Source within ourselves. This design means we were built to play an active role in a world that actually responds to how we observe it.

Mana: The Power of Your Focus

In modern science, there is a famous idea called the "Observer Effect." It shows that the simple act of watching something or paying attention to it actually changes how that thing behaves—it turns a world of "maybe" into a solid reality.

In our Māori worldview, this special power is known as Mana. Mana is the spiritual authority and the ability to observe given to us by Io to help influence and shape the world. We aren't just watching life happen; we are helping to "observe" it into being through our intentions, our prayers, and how we care for things.
