When you realise the world is made of information and energy, the idea of "consumption" stops making sense. You cannot "consume" a wave in the ocean, you can only participate in its movement. This shift in understanding moves us from being consumers to being Kaitiaki, or stewards.

In the Babylonian system, an economy is built on "one-way" transactions. You buy something, you own it, and the connection ends there. It is a dry, static system that eventually leads to exhaustion and greed.

In the Woven Universe, Hau is the "Breath of Life" and the "Spirit of the Gift." It is the vital essence that stays attached to anything we create or give away.
