The Frequency of Despair vs. The Principle of Optimism
In the Babylonian system, we are taught to accept "problems" as permanent features of life. We are told that some things are just broken, some people are just "bad", and some systems are simply destined to fail. This is the frequency of despair, a low-energy state that keeps us from seeking the "good explanations" that could set us free. But in the Woven Universe, we operate from a different premise, the Principle of Optimism.
In Research Report #253, we synthesise the work of quantum physicist David Deutsch with the foundational logic of Tikanga Māori. Deutsch famously states that "all evils are due to a lack of knowledge." In this context, "evil" isn't just a moral choice, it is any problem, conflict, or stagnation that causes suffering. If every problem is just a lack of knowledge, then every problem has a solution. We just haven't "woven" the right explanation into our reality yet.
Tikanga as Error-Correction
We often think of Tikanga as a static set of rules from the past, but it is actually a highly advanced system of multiversal error-correction. The word "Tika" means to be right, straight, or direct. When we practice Tikanga, we are applying the "Right Way" to untangle the knots (evils) in our reality.
Tikanga provides the protocols, like Muru for restorative justice or Whanaungatanga for relationship building, to fix the "bugs" in our social and spiritual hardware. It is the process of returning a system to "Right Relationship" (Rongo). By seeing every conflict as a "solvable problem" rather than a permanent curse, we shift our frequency from victimhood to stewardship. We recognise that the solution is already "woven" into the fabric of Te Kore, and it is our job to find the knowledge that brings it into Te Ao Mārama.

Yeshua taught that the key to freedom is not found in changing our external circumstances, but in the acquisition of Truth (high-fidelity knowledge).
John 8:32 (NKJV): “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
In the Alpha Frequency, "Truth" is the ultimate error-correction code. When you "know" the truth, you have found the good explanation that makes the "evil" (the problem) soluble. The truth doesn't just make you feel better, it literally re-programs the Mauri of the situation, dissolving the knots and allowing the life force to flow again.
Becoming a Rational Optimist
A Modern Kaitiaki is a rational optimist. This doesn't mean being "blindly positive," it means being "technically confident." You are confident because you know the laws of the Woven Universe:
All Problems are Soluble: There is no knot that Tikanga cannot untangle.
Knowledge is the Key: If you are stuck, you don't need "luck," you need a "good explanation."
Restore the Mauri: The goal of every solution is to return the system to balance and life.
