THE ALPHA FREQUENCY #722 - THE LITURGY OF ABUNDANCE: BYPASSING THE MYTH OF SCARCITY
The Great Deception: The Myth of Scarcity
The most pervasive "distraction" in our modern world is the Myth of Scarcity. This is the fear-driven belief that resources are limited, which tells the powerful to accumulate and dominate because there is "not enough". This mindset is at the heart of colonial capitalism, it creates a "winner-loser binary" that destroys the "other" and the natural world just to survive.
In Taitokerau, we see this myth playing out in our stats: regional GDP remains 30% below the national average, and our youth NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) rates are a major barrier to flourishing. But Yeshua identifies this as a spiritual deception designed to keep us in a state of anxiety.
Tuning into The Abundance Frequency
In contrast to the fear of "lack," The Abundance Frequency is a song of praise for the Creator’s generosity. It begins with the truth that the world was declared "very good" from the start. Yeshua embodied this in His direct ministry, He didn't see five loaves and two fish as "not enough"; He saw them through the lens of a blessing that multiplies (Matthew 14:13-21).
Māori traditional economies were historically built on this same frequency, the Economy of Mana. It wasn't about accumulation, but about wealth distribution and sustaining relationships. When we trust in the "enoughness" of God, we find the freedom to be generous and the peace to rest.
Bypassing the Binary
To bypass the scarcity of "Babylon," we have to stop trying to "capitalism" our way out of colonialism. True abundance in the North isn't just about a higher GDP; it’s about distributive justice and a communal pool of resources.
Yeshua taught us to pray: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). This is a call to live in the "now" of God’s provision, refusing the anxiety that drives greed. By shifting our focus, we move from a "determinant of wealth" (extraction) back to the land as a "determinant of health" (hauora).
Practical Daily Steps
Identify the Fear: Notice when you are making a choice out of a fear that there is "not enough" time, money, or love.
Practice Distribution: Give something away today, whether it's a kind word, a resource, or your time, to prove to your heart that you are in The Abundance Frequency.
Bless the Small: Take what you do have and give thanks for it, observing it as a seed for more rather than a remnant of "not enough".
