THE ALPHA FREQUENCY #705 - WEAVING THE CLOAK: THE PRACTICAL ROLE OF LOVE IN COMMUNITY BUILDING
The Trap Of Being Alone
Growing up, a lot of us were taught that we are on our own, that life is a competition where you have to look out for "Number One" first. This is what we call a "Bad Explanation". It makes us feel separate, lonely, and stressed, which actually drains our life force, or Mauri. Yeshua’s command to "Love your neighbour as yourself" is the direct fix for this. He isn’t just being nice; He’s telling us that we are all actually part of the same team.
What Is “Agape”?
When the Bible talks about love here, it uses the word “Agape” (specifically, Agapēseis, which is the future active indicative second-person singular form of Agape). This isn't just a "mushy" feeling. Agape is a choice. It is a selfless, "no-strings-attached" kind of love that wants the absolute best for the other person. One of the coolest things about this kind of love is that it has immense value, yet an infinite amount of it can be created from absolutely nothing. You don’t need a bank loan or a government grant to start loving your neighbour. You just decide to do it.
Repairing The Leaky Bucket
Isolation and "every man for himself" act like a Leaky Bucket for our region. When we don't trust our neighbours, our energy and wealth leak away to "outsiders" who don't care about our whenua. But when we operate on the Alpha Frequency of love, we start "plugging the leaks". We start looking out for each other’s kids, sharing our resources, and building things that last. Love is the "glue" that creates a strong, life-giving community (Mauri Ora).
Ready For The Snap
We’ve talked about The Snap, that moment when the "Veil" between our daily life and the spiritual world finally tears away. When that day comes, all the "stuff" we’ve collected won't matter. The only thing that will be left "standing" is the love and connection we’ve built with God and each other. If you have practiced loving your neighbour now, you’ll be perfectly in tune with the world that is coming.
Weaving The Cloak
In Taitokerau, we want a future where everyone thrives, Te Whenua Taurikura. This doesn't happen by accident; it happens when we choose to be "weavers" of a community cloak rather than just "settlers" on a piece of dirt. When you treat your neighbour’s success as your own, you are activating your Universal Constructor capability to change the world.
The Wero
I challenge you to create something from nothing today. Find a neighbour, someone you work with, live next to, or even someone you usually ignore. Show them a bit of Agape. Help them with a task, give them a word of encouragement, or simply listen. Don't do it because you want something back; do it because you are a steward of the Master’s love. Watch how that small bit of "pounamu" starts to change the atmosphere around you.
