Listening For Truth

Kia ora e te whānau. Have you ever noticed how the same message can come to you from completely different places? You might hear a song on the radio, read a line in an old book, or remember a story from your koro, and suddenly it all clicks. We call this the "Prophetic Signal." It’s like the Creator is trying to get us all on the same page, tuning us into the "Alpha Frequency" so we can find our way back to a life of peace and abundance.

Bob Marley’s Message

Think about someone like Bob Marley. He wasn't just a singer; he was a voice for the people. When he sang about "emancipating yourselves from mental slavery," he was telling us that the biggest chains we wear are the ones in our own minds. He was calling us to leave "Babylon", the system of greed and separation, and look toward a better way of living together. He was reminding us that we have the power to change our own story.

The invisible threads

When we talk about the world being a "Woven Universe," we are really talking about the invisible threads that hold every atom, every tree, and every person together. In the North, we know this as whanaungatanga, the truth that nothing exists on its own. But have you ever wondered what actually keeps those threads from snapping?

Our ancestors and the early writers of the faith had a very clear answer. They spoke of a central "Word" or a "Reason" that started the whole process of creation. This is where we find Ihu (Yeshua's name in the Paipera Tapu) at the very centre of the map. He is not just someone we read about in history; He is the living logic that keeps the stars in the sky and the sap flowing in the trees.

The strength of the connection

In the world of science, they have discovered that once things are connected, they stay connected in a way that ignores distance. They call this entanglement. If you touch one part of the system, another part feels it instantly. Within our framework, we see that Ihu is the one who actually makes this possible.

The hidden helpers

When we think about the creation of the universe, it is easy to imagine Io working all by himself in the quiet of the night. But our old people in the North taught us that the management of this "Woven Universe" is actually a big team effort. Io brought into being a vast host of spirits to help look after everything he made. These spirits act like the hands and eyes of the Creator in our physical world.

Among these helpers are the Whatukura, who are male spirits, and the Māreikura, who are female spirits. They live in the heavens just below Io and work as his personal assistants. They are not just sitting around in the clouds; they are the high-level managers of the spiritual physics that keep our world running smoothly every day.

The biblical connection

When we look at the teachings of the Bible, we see this same team described in a very similar way. The writers often spoke about different ranks of spiritual beings like principalities, authorities, and powers. These are just different names for the same Whatukura and Māreikura that our ancestors knew about.

The Meaning of Names

In our world today, a name is often just a label we choose because it sounds nice. But for our ancestors here in the North, a name was much more than that. The names given to Io-matua-kore were actually forensic descriptions of how the universe works. They were like a set of instructions or a blueprint for reality itself.

Three Ways of Seeing

To get a clear picture of the truth, we use what I call the triangulation of truth. We look at our Māori names for Io, we look at the names used in the Bible, and we look at the hard data of modern science. When these three different views point to the same thing, we know we have found something solid to stand on.
