DECONSTRUCTING BABYLON #004 - DEFEATING THE NEWTONIAN ERROR - HOW TO RE-ENTANGLE YOUR LIFE🦎⚛️
Have you ever noticed how the system tries to convince you that you are standing all alone? Whether it is a bank teller treating you like a credit score, a legal document defining your land as a "parcel" of dead matter, or a social media feed making you feel like an isolated island, the message is the same: you are separate. Separate from your neighbour, separate from the river, and separate from your ancestors. This is not just a "feeling." It is the result of a 400-year-old software glitch called the Newtonian Error.
Tool #1: The Newtonian Error (we’re all separate)
In Research Report #224, we deconstruct Tool #1 of the Babylonian operating system: The Newtonian Error. This is the outdated belief, based on 17th-century physics, that the universe is just a collection of separate "pool balls" interacting only through force. When this "Bad Explanation" was applied to our law and economy, it created a world of fragmentation.
It justified "Fee Simple" property rights that treat Papatūānuku as a merchantable good to be sliced up, rather than a living ancestor to be partnered with. It created "Legal Atomism," where you are seen only as an individual agent, stripping away the collective power of the whānau. This worldview is thermodynamically "Entropic"—it creates disorder by severing the very connections that keep life healthy. But here is the secret: the science has already changed. Quantum mechanics has proven that separability is an illusion. We live in a universe of Entanglement, or what we in Taitokerau call Whanaungatanga.
How to Counter it in Everyday Life
The system will not update itself, so we must become "Universal Constructors" and update our own reality. Countering the Newtonian Error in everyday life means practicing "Active Observation."
First, we must reject the "Colonial Gaze" that sees our youth as statistics or our land as an asset. When you look at a young person in Kaikohe, do not see "truancy"—see a Rangatira in a state of Superposition, full of infinite potential. Your observation literally helps collapse their reality into success.
Second, we must "re-entangle" our economy. Instead of treating your spending as a one-way transaction, treat it as a flow of Mauri. When you buy local, you are not just purchasing a product; you are strengthening the "Woven Universe" of your community.
Finally, we must assert our constitutional entanglement. We start living as if He Whakaputanga is the source code. This means taking responsibility for the health of our local creek (Te Taiao) and the strength of our kinship (Te Ahurea) without waiting for a bureaucratic permit. It also means letting go of racism. We’re all entangled and racism doesn’t happen naturally. It’s another tool of the Babylonian system to separate and divide and it goes both ways. We’re all in this together, cohabitating on our whenua. Growing our Economic Pā is going to take a lot of energy, and engaging in racism or allowing racists to get to you, will slow it down. I know there’s a lot of mamae but we are all capable of letting go and it’s in our interests and the interests of our mokopuna to do so. Just scroll on, or cross the street and keep walking. And mentally send them love and good vibes because that’s the seed that will trigger change.
