THE WOVEN UNIVERSE #938 - HEALING OUR WHAKAPAPA: CHOOSING OUR ANCESTRAL LEGACY THROUGH FOCUS AND VIBRATION

The Ancestral Buffet

In the old way of thinking, we were told that our identity is only found in our biological bloodline. This view says if you are not related by blood, you do not belong. But in the Woven Universe, we see things differently. We see a massive, glowing web of energy where everyone and everything is connected. This is what we call Whanaungatanga, the law that says everything is linked together.

This means your "Ancestral Buffet", the collection of wisdom, strength, and authority you can draw from, is much bigger than just your DNA.

The Power of Whāngai

If you are whāngai, or if your ancestors were whāngai, you might have wondered if you still have "the keys" to the mana (authority) of that family line. The answer is a clear and powerful yes.

When a child is brought up, guided, and loved by whāngai parents, a real spiritual connection is woven. In the Woven Universe, this is like grafting a new shoot to a healthy rootstock. That connection is just as real as a blood tie. The mana and the stories of those tūpuna (ancestors) are passed down through that bond of love and shared life.

Grafted Into the Tree

This idea of being "grafted in" to a family tree is also found in the ancient scriptures of the Ethiopian Bible. It describes how someone from the outside can be joined to a family and share in all the strength of the roots.

"And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree..." (Romans 11:17, Ethiopian Bible English Version)

Cutting Off Unfruitful Roots

I want to acknowledge that not all roots are ones you want to tap into. This is about breaking intergenerational patterns of things that only hold us back, like shame, neglect, abuse, powerlessness, false doctrine, addiction, and violence. Let those go whānau.

Ihu taught that we have the power to choose what we allow to grow in our lives. Just as a gardener prunes a tree to help it stay healthy, we can choose to cut off the static of the past. When we let go of those negative patterns, we stop the leaks in our spirit and make room for pure fruit to grow.

"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." (Matthew 7:19, Ethiopian Bible English Version)

Te Reo Māori: Ko nga rakau katoa e kore e hua i te hua pai, ka tuaina, ka maka ki te ahi.

How to Tap Into the Wisdom

You are never alone because you have a whole team of navigators and teachers standing behind you. Tapping into their strength is a simple process of listening.

1. Speak: Acknowledge the ancestors who bring light and ask for their guidance.

2. Prune: Use your focus and intention to cut off the old patterns of shame or fear.

3. Wait: Be still and quiet.

4. Listen: Pay attention to the "source code" of peace and clarity that comes into your mind.

Your mokopuna are already tapping into you. By choosing wisely which roots to feed, you are building a legacy of prosperity and unity for the next seven generations.
