Two worlds in one heart

Growing up in Taitokerau, I always felt like my heart was pulling in two different directions. On one side, I had a mind that loved science, logic, and figuring out how things work. On the other, I had a deep love for our Māori way of seeing the world, where everything is connected and nothing is just an object.

For a long time, the version of faith I saw in churches felt like it was wearing a colonial suit that did not fit our people. It felt rigid, separate from the land, and sometimes quite judgmental. I knew there had to be a way to bring these worlds together, but the air was full of static and noise that made it hard to hear clearly.

Finding a clear signal

The change happened when I started looking at the words of Ihu for myself, without all the old religious labels and the baggage that often comes with them. I wanted to hear the original signal, what I call the Alpha Frequency. This is the pure message that comes straight from the source before people start adding their own opinions to it.
