Two worlds in one heart
Growing up in Taitokerau, I always felt like my heart was pulling in two different directions. On one side, I had a mind that loved science, logic, and figuring out how things work. On the other, I had a deep love for our Māori way of seeing the world, where everything is connected and nothing is just an object.
For a long time, the version of faith I saw in churches felt like it was wearing a colonial suit that did not fit our people. It felt rigid, separate from the land, and sometimes quite judgmental. I knew there had to be a way to bring these worlds together, but the air was full of static and noise that made it hard to hear clearly.
Finding a clear signal
The change happened when I started looking at the words of Ihu for myself, without all the old religious labels and the baggage that often comes with them. I wanted to hear the original signal, what I call the Alpha Frequency. This is the pure message that comes straight from the source before people start adding their own opinions to it.
This path was confirmed for me when I started reading about modern science, especially quantum physics. I found that what the scientists were discovery in their labs was exactly what our tūpuna had been saying for centuries. It is also exactly what Ihu taught. They were all talking about a world made of light, energy, and deep connections that we cannot see with our eyes but can feel with our spirits.
Checking the three sources
I began to see that Ihu is not just a figure from a history book or a religious statue. His direct words, which are often printed in red in some bibles, act like a master key for understanding the universe. They give us a way to check our findings by looking at three different sources.
When we look at Māori wisdom, modern science, and the red letters of Ihu, and we find they all point to the same spot, we know we have found the bedrock of reality. This is how we clear away the confusion and find a foundation that is solid enough to build a new society on.
The words of Ihu
Ihu spoke about being the source of truth in a way that bypasses all the human systems that try to control us.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" (John 14:6, NKJV)
"Ka mea a Ihu ki a ia, 'Ko ahau te huarahi, te pono, me te ora. E kore tētahi tangata e haere mai ki te Matua, ki te mea kāhore i roto i ahau.'" (Translated from the original Greek: Egō eimi hē hodos kai hē alētheia kai hē zōē)
Solving our own problems
The reason this matters so much for us here in the North is because the old ways of thinking are simply not working anymore. We can see the failure in our housing crisis, our health statistics, and the struggles that many of our young people face every day. These are not just social problems, they are signs that we have been disconnected from the source of our life force.
By reclaiming this source code, we can find new and practical solutions that actually work for our whānau. We stop being victims of a broken system and start becoming the ones who build a better one. This is about leveling up our understanding so we can heal our land and our people together, using every tool we have available.

This series is not about starting a new religion or arguing over rules. It is about an honest search for what is actually true and how we can use that truth to make life better for everyone in Taitokerau. I do not have every single answer, and I am still learning and realise new things every day.
