THE ALPHA FREQUENCY #714 - EARS TO HEAR: WHY IHU SPOKE IN STORIES
The Riddle of the Kingdom
When we look at the way Ihu (Yeshua's name in the Paipera Tapu) taught the people, we notice something very interesting. He did not always speak in plain, dry facts. Instead, He often spoke in parables, which are simple stories that carry a much deeper meaning. His disciples were puzzled by this and asked Him why He used these riddles. His answer was a wero to all of us: He used stories as a filter. He wanted to make sure that the "signal" of the truth only reached the people whose hearts were truly ready to receive it.
Clearing the Static
In our work here in the North, we talk a lot about "signal versus noise." The "noise" is the political BS, the greed, and the constant static of a broken system that tries to distract us. The "signal" is the pure frequency of peace, love, and goodwill that comes from the Source. Ihu knew that if He spoke the deepest truths of the universe too plainly, the "noise" of the world would just twist them or throw them away. By using stories about seeds, nets, and soil, He was bypassing the busy minds of the critics and speaking directly to the spirit of the people.
Protecting the Sacred Seed
Ihu described the truth as a seed, or a "kākano." A seed is a very powerful thing, but it is also very fragile. If you drop a seed on a hard road, the birds will eat it. If you drop it among thorns, it will be choked. It only grows if the soil is soft and healthy. This is why He spoke in parables. The story acts like a protective layer. To a person who only cares about money or power, the parable sounds like a simple children's story, so they ignore it. But to a person who is looking for the truth, the story opens up like a flower, revealing the "source code" for a thriving life.
The State of the Heart
In Te Reo Māori, we talk about the "ngākau," which is our heart and our seat of feeling. Ihu was teaching us that having "ears to hear" is not about how good your hearing is; it is about the state of your ngākau. If your heart is calloused or hard because of the hurts of the past, you will hear the words, but you won't understand the signal. But if you have cleared out the static and softened your heart through prayer and hope, you will hear the "Alpha Frequency" in every story He tells.
The Gift of Hearing
Ihu spoke about the special blessing that comes to those who are finally able to tune in to the right frequency:
"But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear." Ethiopian Orthodox Bible (Matthew 13:16)
Original Ge'ez Text: ወባሕቱ፡ ብፁዓን፡ አዕይንቲክሙ፡ እስመ፡ ይሬእያ፤ ወአእዛኒክሙ፡ እስመ፡ ይሰምዓ።
Direct Ge'ez to Te Reo Māori Translation: Engari ka hira koutou, nō te mea e kite ana ō koutou kanohi, ā, e rongo ana ō koutou taringa.
Tuning in the North
As we work to build Te Whenua Taurikura, the thriving land, we must become experts at listening for the signal. We cannot wait for the system to change itself; we have to change the way we listen. By prioritising the wisdom found in these parables, we can find the blueprints for a better society. We are reclaiming our ancestral mind, which always understood the power of a story to carry the truth. When we have "ears to hear," we can finally start to fix the soil and build a future of abundance for all our whānau in Taitokerau.
