The Logic of the Miracles
Kia ora, whānau. Today we are looking at a passage from the Bible that often makes people feel a bit uncomfortable, the promise of miracles. If you grew up with a modern, scientific mind, you might have been taught to treat these verses as just stories or symbols. But when we look at them through the lens of our ancestors, we see that these "signs" are actually the natural results of a person who is perfectly in tune with the Source.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Bible translates this power of the spirit clearly:
"And these signs shall follow them that believe." (Mark 16:17, Ethiopian Bible English Version)

Ancestral Wisdom: Mind Over Matter
In Taitokerau, our history is full of stories of tohunga and tūpuna who could influence the world around them. They didn't see the land as "dead matter." They knew that the universe is a "Woven Universe", a web of energy that responds to the spirit. Our ancestors had the ability to alter matter and energy with their minds because they understood Mana.
This wasn't magic. It was the result of a mind that was totally focused. When Ihu (Yeshua's name in the Paipera Tapu) talks about "belief," he is talking about this same level of intense focus. When you truly believe, you stop being a bystander and start becoming a Life-Builder. Your spirit begins to shape the world you observe.

Mark 16:17 describes the "tools" that come with this authority:
Clearing the Noise: When the Bible talks about "casting out demons," it is talking about clearing away the mental clutter, the bad stories, and the fear that drain our life force. It is moving a person from decay back to Mauri Ora (flourishing).
New Ways of Speaking: This is about changing the frequency of our talk, moving from "Leaky Bucket" complaints to speaking words of abundance and life.
Protection: This is the spiritual security that comes when you are so connected to the Source that the "toxic noise" of the world can no longer harm your spirit.
The Mission in the North
These miracles are not for entertainment; they are practical tools for fixing our communities. Our ancestors used their minds to navigate oceans and heal the sick because they were looking after the "Mauri" of their people.
Today, I challenge you to reclaim that ancestral authority. We are here to "fix the soil" of Taitokerau. If you follow the way of Ihu, these signs are meant to be a natural part of your life. Start by focusing your mind on a situation that feels broken and "observe" it returning to life. When we align our faith, our culture, and our minds, the amazing becomes our daily reality.
