Where the Heart Goes, the Power Follows

In our last post, we introduced Te Ara Wairua, the Spirit Path that connects our world to the Source. Today, we’re looking at the "fuel" that drives the signal along that path: Intent. Our tūpuna knew that it wasn't just the words of a Karakia that mattered, but the weight and focus of the heart behind them. In simple terms, your intent is like a spotlight; whatever you point it at is where the energy of the Spirit Path begins to gather.

The Problem of the Scattered Mind

Most of the time, our minds are like a "leaky bucket", our thoughts are jumping from worry to worry, scattered in a dozen different directions. When our focus is split, the signal we send along the Spirit Path is weak and blurry. It’s like trying to use a flashlight with dying batteries; you can’t see the path clearly, and you certainly can’t lead anyone else.
