TĀIKI E! #107 - THE MASTER NAVIGATOR: IHU’S ROLE IN TE ARA WAIRUA
Knowing The Waters
If you have ever been out on a boat along the rugged coastlines of Taitokerau, you know that a beautiful view can hide some incredibly dangerous currents and jagged, hidden rocks. Navigating Te Ara Wairua, the Spirit Path, works exactly the same way. The spirit world is a vast, invisible network of life and energy. Just like the ocean, it does not always play fair if you don’t know the way.
Our tūpuna were master navigators because they deeply understood the signs, the stars, and the changing currents. In our spiritual lives today, we need that exact same level of local knowledge. If we want to guide our whānau safely toward true well-being, we must learn to recognise the spiritual pathways instead of just floating along blindly.
The Danger Of Going Solo
A very common mistake people make is thinking they can just jump into the spirit realm and figure it out completely on their own. But as we have already discussed in this series, the Spirit Path is crowded with heavy static, conflicting signals, and unintended consequences. Trying to handle this realm based entirely on your own temporary feelings or vibes is like trying to sail a waka through a fierce storm with no compass.
You might move around, but you are probably not going to like where you end up. When we try to navigate without a map, we open ourselves up to all kinds of spiritual exhaustion and the confusing political BS of the world. To protect our grassroots communities, we have to stop wandering into the unseen world without a clear guide.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" - John 14:6 (Ethiopian Orthodox Bible)
The Ultimate Pilot
This is precisely why we focus on Ihu (Yeshua’s name in the Paipera Tapu) as our Master Navigator. He is not just someone who knows a few interesting facts about the Spirit Path, He is the one who mapped out the road in the first place. Because He comes directly from the Creator and lived a real human life right here on earth, He has the ultimate dual citizenship. He perfectly understands the pure frequency of the heavens and the messy, daily reality of our ordinary human struggles.
When we choose to align our prayers and our daily mahi with Ihu, we are inviting an expert pilot onto our waka. He knows exactly where the shallow water is, where the dangerous reefs are hiding, and how to steer us safely through the deepest valleys. He does not shut down our grassroots agency, instead, He protects our journey, ensuring that every prayer we speak is safely delivered to the heart of the Creator.
Safe Arrival Together
Sailing with Ihu completely changes the destination of our lives. When He is at the steering paddle, we no longer have to live in fear of making a spiritual mistake or getting caught up in the heavy friction of the world. Our focused intent becomes sharp and secure, allowing us to bring real order, peace, and life to our homes.
By staying close to our Master Navigator, we can focus our collective energy on fixing the soil of our society, prioritising equity, love, and goodwill to Mankind. Together, we will lift the mauri of our land, showing the world that Taitokerau can stand tall as a genuine, shining light of health and unity for everyone.
